DB Schenker - Installation (eng)


Add and install the plugin


Go to WP-admin - Plugins → Add new → Upload plugin
  1. Add the ZIP-filen you received when you purchased the plugin at Redlight.se
  2. Install and activate

Order API key, Commercial UNB Party ID and Name


Tick Customer, to be shared to your system developer.
In the fields marked "System developer" fill out:
  1. Company name – Redlight Media AB
  2. E-mail address – support@redlight.se
  3. Contact person – Customer service Redlight Media
  4. Phone number – 026 – 51 15 00
Then fill out the rest of the form with your company's information.
When it is ready, you will receive an email with:
DB Schenker API Key (Test)
Commercial UNB Party ID
Commercial UNB Name
Take this information and ad it to the plugin settings, described in the next step.
When you have set up the connection, made a few test bookings with the test key and received approval from DB Schenker, you will receive a sharp API key from DB Schenker.


Set up the plugin


Go to WooCommerce → Settings → DB Schenker
  • License Key – Enter the license key that you received from us when you purchased the plugin
  • DB Schenker API Key – Enter the API key you received from DB Schenker (this key will be given to you by DB Schenker after you have made some test bookings and had them approved)
  • DB Schenker API Key (Test) – Enter the API test key you received from DB Schenker.
  • DB Schenker Customer Number – Enter your DB Schenker Customer Number
  • DB Schenker Commercial UNB(Party ID) – Enter the ID you received from DB Schenker
  • DB Schenker Commercial UNB(Name) – Enter the name you received from DB Schenker
  • Test Mode – Check to enable test mode. This mode should be enabled when you use the API key (test) and can be disabled when you receive your real API key from DB Schenker.
  • DB Schenker Shipping Note Paper Size – Enter the size of the shipping note
  • Automatically book shipping on order status – Enter an order status if you want the shipping to be booked automatically
  • DB Schenker packages – Enter the number of packages per order/per item
  • Add a customer note when shipping is booked – Check to send an email to the customer when shipping is booked
  • DB Schenker Package content – Enter a short description of the content, for example Klädbutik.se – clothes
  • Debug log – Check to activate the debug log. Logs can be found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs

Go to WooCommerce → Settings → DB Schenker → Sender

Fill in the company details

Settings for delivery method


Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Shipping Zones
  1. Click on the zone you want to edit
  2. Select the delivery method you want to connect to DB Schenker, click edit
DB Schenker shipping options
  • DB Schenker service – The service to be used when synchronizing shipping to DB Schenker
  • DB Schenker Service point – Check to present service point at checkout
  • DB Schenker pervice point type – Enter Box or agent
  • DB Schenker Package code – Enter package code (default Package/Parcel)
  • Shipment type – Enter type of shipping. One way or One way/Return

Test bookings


Once you are done with the settings, it is time to make some test bookings.
It is important that you have ticked the test mode under WooCommerce → Settings → DB Schenker
Test bookings
  1. Start by placing a few test orders
  2. Book shipping (one for each shipping service you want to use)
  3. Print shipping labels (one for each shipping service you want to use)
  4. Take a picture of the printed labels
  5. Reply to DB Schenker's email with the pictures of your labels
  6. Wait for feedback and a sharp API key
  7. Add the API key under WooCommerce → Settings → DB Schenker and uncheck test mode
